Something not working, or a problem scored wrong? Email info@rise-climbing.com and we will sort it out. Tell us your username and which competition you are in — that is usually enough to find it.

Signing in

There is no password. You give an email address, we send a six-digit code, and that code signs you in on that device. Codes expire after ten minutes; if one does not arrive, check the spam folder and then ask for another.

Scoring

Every problem is worth the same. It does not matter which one you pick or how hard it looks — what counts is how many goes it took:

So a top is 100 points. Flashing it adds 10, doing it second go adds 3, third go adds 1. Every climb you log counts towards your total and there is no cap, which means the way to win is to top more problems; clean ascents only separate climbers who are level on tops.

Ties break on the total number of attempts across the competition, and then on who entered first.

Difficulty is handled by the category, not by points — you are only scored against other climbers in your own band.

Categories and grades

Every competition runs Medium, Hard and Super Hard, each with its own leaderboard. You pick a category when you enter, and you can change it up until the event closes.

Some competitions also show a font grade for each problem; others run on the category alone. That is the organiser's choice per event, so an event with no grades on show is not missing data.

Boards

A gym can have more than one board, and each board has its own angle and its own problems. Filter the problem list to a gym to see everything there, or to a single board to see just the wall in front of you.

Deadlines

Climbs can only be logged while a competition is open. Once it closes the results are fixed, and a finished event stays readable as a record.

Deleting your account

Me → Delete my account, in the app or in the browser version. It removes your account, your email address and every climb you logged, and cannot be undone.
